We are an active and cooperative learning community
Given our focus on creating a school community that supports all students regardless of their needs and strengths, the final pillar of our approach is the establishment of a positive classroom environment. To this end, The Hope Academy has adopted the Responsive Classroom© approach, a nationally recognized model that is successful in creating a school and classroom climate and culture that embraces inclusion and students of all abilities by emphasizing social, emotional, and academic growth in a strong and safe school community.
To help students make responsible choices and establish boundaries, we also use the 1-2-3 Magic© approach for teachers. Students learn the joy of contributing as members of their community with our PAWS program based on Positive Behavioral Intervention & Supports (PBIS).
